Performances Available from
TWO MEN IN SKIRTS
__________________________________________
Traditional Concert Presentation:
Perfect for Scottish Festivals, Highland Games or similar events, this program lasts from 45 minute to an hour and includes a variety of traditional Scottish ballads as well as a few contemporary songs celebrating the heritage of Scotland.
Salon Concert:
Modeled after the 19th century European salons, this less formal presentation lasts from 20 to 30 minutes and is typically hosted in a patron's home. The presentation includes a variety of Scottish songs featuring many "favorites" and can be enjoyed on its own or in conjunction with a dinner party, anniversary celebration or similar gathering.
Soloist:
Either or both performers are sometimes available for weddings, funerals, anniversaries, etc. Please note that there may be an additional rehearsal fee and music fee if music requested is not already in the performer's repertoire. Performers are happy to suggest specific songs for the occasion.

We are pleased to return to Mohonk Mountain House for their popular Scottish Weekend and are especially honored to serve as this year's program leaders. Enjoy a full weekend of “all things Scottish” including Scottish music, bagpipes, highland dancing, Celtic art, Scottish country dancing, a Scottish history presentation, dance workshops, music workshops, a whiskey tasting and much much more!
There is a new offering as part of Scottish Weekend this year at Mohonk - A Scottish Music Workshop led by award winning Scottish fiddlers Mara Shea and Rebecca McCallum. Overnight and meal guests of the Mountain house are invited to attend or participate in this new offering as part of Scottish Weekend. A cross between a "jam session" and a "master class," guests who are amateur or professional musicians can learn what sets Scottish music apart from so many other folk music forms. Guests who play musical instrument (fiddle, banjo, cello, flute, guitar, etc.) are encouraged to bring their instruments with them to the workshop. Participants and observers alike will enjoy listing to (or playing) the wonderful medleys that encompass this rich tapestry of Scottish music.
